This Christmas at St Margaret's we're opening our doors for a number of very special services, including Christingles, Carol Services and Crib services. Full details of all our Christmas services can be found below.
What makes Christmas special for you?
During the festive period we're going to be thinking together about "What makes Christmas so special?". Some of us will look forward to everything the Christmas period has to offer - the food, the presents, the time with family. Others will simply look forward to it being over - because Christmas can be a lonely and difficult time for many of us. Whether we can't wait for Christmas to come or just can't wait for it to be over, this year we want to invite you to consider the first Christmas - and what made it so special that it's worth remembering year after year.
3:30pm Christingle (doors open 3:10pm)
5.00pm Christingle (doors open 4:40pm)
Christingles celebrate Christ as the light of the world. Wondering what a Christingle is? They consist of an orange, a lit candle, a ribbon and four cocktail sticks covered with sweets. What does each part of the Christingle represent? Join us on Sunday 8th to find out.
We invite you to arrive twenty minutes early if you'd like to make your very own Christingle.
