Currently we are hosting three services on a Sunday. If you'd like to join us in person this Sunday, please pre-book a ticket for one of our services.:
8am Holy Communion (held in the Church Hall)
9am Families Session Live and Livestreamed
10.30am Sunday Worship Live and Online
The Online services can be viewed at St Margaret's Online
(Our normal Sunday service schedule is currently suspended due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic).
We look forward to being able to all worship together again 'in person' when it is safe to do so in line with Government guidelines
On a Wednesday we have a weekly online devotional called 'Continuing the Journey (with Jesus)', which follows on from our Lent series.
Before the lockdown in March 2020, the service pattern was as shown below.
Pre lockdown the normal Sunday service schedule is listed below. In August and December we used to combine the 9.30am and 11.15am services with a 10.00am start.
8am Holy Communion
A traditional and reflective service of Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer. There is no music at this service, apart from at Christmas. It lasts 45 minutes and 20-25 people attend.
9.30am Family Service
A lively, contemporary, family-orientated service with kids' groups. It’s accessible, informal, with a band, and a blend of songs and hymns. This service incorporates teaching and application for committed Christians to feed on but is still accessible and encouraging for spiritual seekers. The service is great for visitors and guests are very welcome. On the 1st Sunday of the month is the The One Service when the whole church, young and old, meet together to worship, pray and learn together in all sorts of creative ways. Communion is on the 3rd Sunday of the month, and there are occasional baptisms and mission slots. It lasts for about 75 minutes (you can be home or out and about by 11.00am or stay for a coffee and chat) and is attended by 125-150 people.
11.15am Morning Worship
This is a shorter, more traditional service with liturgy, hymns and one or two well-known, much-loved songs. There is teaching and application especially geared towards committed Christians. Communion is on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The service lasts 60 minutes and 25-40 people attend, with a vision to grow to 50-80.
5pm The Five
We like to think that The Five is a service for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, to enjoy hearing from the bible and praising God together. You’re invited to join us from 4.30pm when we have a chance to share an informal afternoon tea together before the service begins. This is a great chance to catch up with people. The service begins at 5.00pm with everyone together before the 3s-11s go out for their groups.
Whether you’re a regular at church, or just beginning to explore the Christian faith, we hope this service will help you understand more about the wonderful news of Jesus and what it means for each of us today. Communion is on the 4th Sunday of the month. This service lasts 60-70 minutes and is attended by 80-100 people. Rooted, a group for teens, runs after this service.
10.30am Holy Communion
A traditional and reflective service of Holy Communion, using the Book of Common Prayer.
